The Glaciers-Day 1

Carl and family gave me a hitch from the campsite to the Fox Glacier, which was great as it saved me the hassle of trying to find one! Its been a rainy day with not much visibility. We stopped at the Franz Joseph Glacier but there wasn't much visibility so we didnt do the walk. However the drive was amazing, with low fog drawing in on the tiny 1 lane highway. It was totally surrounded by dense forest either side. Occasionally breaking for a spectacular lake or river. They dropped me literally in the car park of my hostel. So grateful
Got to the hostel and the reception was playing Kendrick Lamar which was a good start! The room's pretty cool, take a look at the picture. The lady at reception was also really nice. She put me Yannick and Luca in the same room. Theres also free pool, free popcorn, free soup and free breakfast!
It's extremely rainy right now. But on the bright side this hostel has a bar downstairs however, the bar does play loud music until the small hours which is annoying when you're trying to sleep.
Luca and I met up with Yannick, one of the guys from Christchurch. We went for a walk in the rainforest when it got dark to look at the glowworms. Which were amazing.
