Abel Tasman Coastal Track
This really is idyllic. A 50km 'hike' (it's really easy walking, I walked some of the track barefoot) following the coast of Abel Tasman National Park. Every corner you turn enters into a new sandy beach or bay with turquoise blue water surrounded by dense forest.
Almost all access is by water except for the foot trail. I did the route in 2 days, hiking from the start just North of Marahau to Brod Bay where I camped overnight. I crossed the low tide crossing at high tide (not a very high tide) which meant getting waist deep in water. But I managed to keep all my stuff dry so no issue really. Pictures below. I finished the trail at Totranui and hitchiked back to Takaka where I stayed the night. To be honest there's not much I can say about the walk.. Just look at the pictures. I'm headed South (again) next.
